
Final Conference and Award Competition Presentations Successfully Held
The Final Conference of the AgriGREEN – Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence: Sustainable Agriculture for a Greener Future project was successfully held, marking the conclusion of key project activities and showcasing its main results. The conference began with a comprehensive presentation of all major project outcomes, including research findings, panel discussions, teaching and dissemination activities, and policy-oriented contributions developed throughout the three-year project. Following the presentation of project results, the event continued with the AgriGREEN Award Competition, dedicated to student scientific paper presentations in the field of agro-environmental economy. The competition was open to students and early-career researchers and focused on topics aligned with sustainability, agroecology, and European Green Deal principles. The jury unanimously decided to award a shared first prize to two outstanding papers: Ena Bertok (Faculty of Agriculture, University of Novi Sad) for her paper “Agro-environmental Transitions Through Youth Education: The Adapted Role of Third Places in Rural Vojvodina” and Stefan Ljubinković (Faculty of Economics, University of Novi Sad) for “The Role of
Geographical Indications in Promoting Agro-environmental Sustainability.” Both winners presented their research through high-quality and well-structured presentations, followed by an award ceremony in which certificates were officially presented, emphasizing the role of young researchers in advancing sustainable and agro-environmental economic thinking within the AgriGREEN project framework
